Lofty vs BoldTrail vs Real Geeks: Choosing a Real Estate CRM and Website for a Small Team

By ·

Listing detail page on a real estate team website

For a small real estate team, Lofty, BoldTrail and Real Geeks all combine an IDX website with a CRM, but they differ in price transparency, contract length and how they handle lead generation. Real Geeks publishes a simple price with a short commitment, while Lofty and BoldTrail quote privately and lean toward larger teams and annual agreements. Decide based on how many leads you'll buy, how many agents need logins, and how much commitment you're comfortable with.

Real Geeks

Real Geeks bundles an IDX website and CRM in one plan. According to published 2026 pricing, it's $399 a month including two users, about $25 a month per additional user, a $500 setup fee, and a 6- or 12-month commitment. IDX feeds are reported at $10 per MLS board per month.

Good fit: small teams that want a straightforward, proven IDX site and CRM without a long sales process.

Lofty (formerly Chime)

Lofty is a CRM, IDX website and lead generation platform with tiers for agents, teams and brokers. It doesn't publish prices; third-party reports put entry pricing around $449 a month, with setup or onboarding fees and lead-generation management often billed as a percentage of ad spend.

Good fit: teams that plan to buy leads through the platform and want automation built around that.

BoldTrail (formerly kvCORE)

BoldTrail, from Inside Real Estate, is a broad platform often sold to brokerages. It's quoted through sales; reported pricing starts around $499 a month for a solo agent, with team and brokerage plans higher, setup fees, and annual contracts as the norm.

Good fit: larger teams and brokerages that want one vendor for many tools and can commit for a year.

How to choose

  1. Count your logins. Per-user fees add up fast as a team grows. Ask what a team of your size pays in month 13.
  2. Check the contract. A short or month-to-month term is worth a lot while you're still testing what works.
  3. Ask about lead-gen fees. A percentage of ad spend can cost more than the software itself.
  4. Look at routing. Make sure leads are assigned fairly and fast, with a way to reassign leads nobody claims.
  5. Don't forget SEO. Paid leads stop when the budget stops. Ask what the platform does to help your own site rank.

Where Venn fits

Venn takes a different approach: published, month-to-month plans with no setup fee, an IDX website, lead routing for teams, and SEO, press and ads management as you grow. Team bundles start at $125 a month for up to five agents. See our side-by-side pages for Venn vs Lofty, Venn vs BoldTrail and Venn vs Real Geeks.

Questions to ask on the demo

Every platform demos well. These questions get past the highlights and show you what daily life will look like for your team:

  1. Show me what happens, step by step, when a buyer requests a showing at 10 PM on a Saturday.
  2. How does round-robin routing work, and what happens if the agent doesn't respond?
  3. What does an agent see on their phone, and how many taps does it take to call a new lead?
  4. Can I see each agent's response time and conversion, side by side?
  5. Which features in this demo are included in the price you're quoting me, and which are add-ons?
  6. What do I pay in month 13, after any first-year discount ends?

Moving your contacts

Switching platforms is easier than most teams expect if you plan it. Export your contacts with tags, notes and the source of each lead. Pause automated drips in the old system before you import into the new one, so nobody gets two emails. Keep the old account for a short overlap so you can check that nothing was missed. And redirect your old website pages to the new site so you keep any search rankings you've earned.

Finally, give your team a week to learn the new app before you turn on lead routing. Fast follow-up matters more than any feature on this list.

Common questions

Which is cheapest?

Of these three, Real Geeks publishes the lowest clear starting price. Total cost depends on users, setup and lead-gen fees, so compare the first-year total.

Can I switch later?

Yes, but check your contract end date and make sure you can export your contacts and notes.

Do these prices change?

Often. Treat any figure here as a starting point and get a written quote.
