CONSIGNMENTS ACCEPTED
- Current models within 10-15 years old
- Very good to excellent condition
- BRANDS ACCEPTED: Albion, Black Country, Prestige, Amerigo, Bates, Arena, Wintec, Fairfax, Kent & Masters, Thorowgood, Veritas, Custom, Trilogy, Pessoa, Stubben, PDS, Crosby, Collegiate, Ovation, Loxley/Bliss of London, Sankey, Adam Ellis, Frank Baines
- Photos of any potential consignment(s) MUST be submitted prior to acceptance.
- Saddles are listed for a maximum of 6 months. If the saddle does not sell, it will be returned at the owner's expense.
- Saddles that are more than 15 years old, heavily dirty/moldy, needing major repairs or valued at less than $1000 will NOT be accepted.
- Dutchess Bridle & Saddle reserves the right to reject or return any consignment for any reason including but not limited to: condition, tree or structural integrity, unrealistic pricing expectations, age or model, repairs needed, or lack of interest.
- Tack items such as bits, bridles, reins, lunging equipment, saddle pads, girths and halters MUST BE CLEAN and in GOOD WORKING ORDER to be considered for consignment. Any item needing to be cleaned, repaired or has significant age will NOT be accepted.
PRICING & OFFERS
- Consignments are priced according to comparable items, current market value, and what you would like to receive from the sale. - A listing price and a "bottom" price will be set for quick sale purposes. Offers made within this range will be accepted on your behalf.
- Offers made below the bottom price will not be considered or accepted.
- Acceptance of our Terms & Conditions authorizes us to negotiate on your behalf.
COMMISSION & PAYMENT
- Dutchess Bridle & Saddle's consignment fee on all saddles and tack is 35%.
- Consignment payouts are issued by ACH unless otherwise specified or agreed upon.
- Consignment payouts are made at the end of the month following the month in which the saddle was sold (e.g., saddle sold in June will be paid out by the end of July).
TRIALS
All consignments are offered for a 7 day trial. Our trial guidelines are as follows:
- Saddles are insured for their full value when shipped.
- Shipping charges are the responsibility of the person taking the saddle on trial.
- A credit card is retained for security purposes while the saddle is on trial.
- Even though we ask trialees to take special care of the saddle while on trial, there will be some additional wear to the saddle - this is expected and unavoidable.
RETURN/UNSOLD
Your consignment can be returned to you at any time either by picking it up or shipping it back. Any shipping costs for return will be the consignor’s responsibility.
